Objectives of Co-operation
Following are the major Objectives of Proposed Co-operation:
To act as a dedicated virtual extension to the Customer's
other development centers across the globe to carry offshore
development activities, technology development and human resource
development. This center would act as a Global Development and Support Center.
To build necessary infrastructure, amenities, processes and methodologies
for successful delivery of products to the Global Customers.
Wow Communication Services for establishing ODC
Wow Communication will build the Dedicated Development Team and Infrastructure
(With in the existing premises) for the Customer. Establishment of ODC covers the following:
Facilities Establishment & Management: Procurement & Establishing H/W,
S/W, IT HelpDesk and Data Network Facilities Management, Space Management,
Amenities (like Power, UPS, etc) management.
HR Management: Covering Recruitment of the target professionals,
Training, Skills management, Mentoring, Working Environment,
Employee HelpDesk, Culture adapting to P-CMM stds, etc.
Administration & Support: Incorporation of the company, Completion of necessary
legal formalities with State and Central Govt. agencies covering Software
Technology Park Scheme Registration, etc.
Technical Management:
1.>Project Execution & Delivery
2.>Project Management
3.>Quality management: Establishing quality
practices adhering to the target
certification like ISO 9001, SEI-CMM, etc.
Corporate Communication & Branding: Corporate Awareness campaigns to
the target media, participating in no. of industry forums, etc. aligning
with global strategy of the Customer.
Models of establishing ODC
Wow Communication provides the following basic ODC Management structure for our customers
---> Customer Managed
---> Wow Communication Managed
---> Build, Operate and Transfer (BOT)
---> Joint Venture
Customer Managed, Dedicated Offshore Development Center
Under this model, Wow Communication provides the resources and infrastructure
for the Customer to manage the ODC by their management at Sr. level responsible
for Project Management and Deliverables. These ODC's adopt the Customer specific
business practices, processes, methodologies, Quality management, and acquisition
of technology expertise as per the need of the Customer's projects.
This model works at a partner level relationship between the Customer and
Wow Communication with high level of commitments to ODC from both sides.
Build Operate and Transfer (BOT)
This model is a logical extension to the above model. Under this model,
Wow Communication builds a dedicated ODC for the Customer and manages
certain period and transforms the knowledge of ODC operations to the Customer.
With a pre defined schedules, Wow Communication transfers all the ODC resources,
infrastructure, Operational Knowledge, etc to the customer to operate as an independent entity.
Joint Venture
This model is a pure partnership approach with a long-term understanding,
where Wow Communication and the Customer fund the ODC jointly with stake
from either side. It is a mutual investment in each other's business and growth.
Wow Communication Managed, Dedicated Offshore Development Center
Under this model, Wow Communication manages the resources, infrastructure, projects
and deliverables to the Customer from the ODC. The Customer allocates tasks and
manages reviews. All processes including the development processes and quality
management systems and standards are deployed as per Wow Communication's best practices.
However, at every phase Wow Communication takes the Customer's key inputs before implementation.
